Towards the Child Friendly City – 2nd call for papers

Submit your abstract or proposal for a presentation or workshop at Towards the Child Friendly City, in Bristol, by the new deadline of 30 September 2019*

*owing to technical problems, now resolved, this page of the website was inaccessible for some time earlier this month, and we have therefore extended the original deadline of 25 September.

The organisers are interested in research, policy, and practice on the conference themes set out below.

Conference themes

Delegates are invited to submit proposals for presentations, workshops or poster displays addressing the overall theme of the conference, children’s rights in the built environment.

In addition, submissions should address one of the following specific themes:

1. Planning, housing, and the neighbourhood environment
2. Activism and children’s voices
3. Children’s mobility, travel, and transport
4. Play and playwork

Submitted papers might address some of the suggested questions, or explore other issues relevant to the theme, supported in each case by relevant evidence.
