Eurochild has developed a Training Tool on engaging children in advocacy work on their right to participate in decision-making processes. This is particularly useful at this time when we in the Alliance want to encourage more youth participation in decision making.
It includes tools and methods to empower children to contribute to change in public decision-making. This change will lead to the engagement of more children from diverse backgrounds. The toolkit is intended to be used by NGOs working with children and young people, including Eurochild members, as well as government offcials at national, regional and local level, who want to engage with children and young people.
This is in response to a Council of Europe Recommendation on the participation of children and young people under the age of 18.
