The next London Forum takes place on Tuesday 22nd May 2018 at 10 am in City Hall.
Susan Crisp will introduce the Mayor’s vision for young Londoner’s which is about to be published and the Young Londoners Fund which was launched this week.
Marie Williams will be presenting on the role of children in the planning, design and provision of public spaces. Focusing on methods used to work children, understand how their opinion influences the vision for space and enable their ideas to become a reality . She will also address challenges faced and current opportunities. Her presentation will be based on extensive research produced by the university of Birmingham working with UK cities and children within them,. She will also reflect on her experience as the CEO of Dream Networks, a social enterprise that collaborates with businesses, schools and communities to design and build play areas in disadvantaged communities.
Jerome Harvey-Agyei will speak on: ‘how we look to unpick what young peoples needs are using the model of human needs, some of the work I do around children with trauma and beyond. The power of communication and listening.’ His title is: What would love do? As the catalyst for change and growth requires love.
